Students form impressions about our courses long before the first assignment. This session explores how AI can help us design stronger first-day experiences, from clearer framing and enhanced syllabi to engaging activities that spark curiosity and peer interaction. We’ll use AI to create syllabi that go way beyond course policies and deadlines, and we’ll brainstorm first-day strategies that’ll capture students’ attention and build belonging.
