About me
I serve as Dean of the School of Leadership at the University of the Cumberlands, where I lead doctoral and graduate programs supporting more than 1,000 students and 60+ faculty. As a scholar-practitioner and former P–12 educator with more than 35 years in education, my work focuses on leadership, doctoral education, and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence. My research and applied scholarship explore how AI can function not merely as a tool, but as a strategic collaborator in leadership and organizational decision-making. I focus on ethical stewardship, adaptive leadership, and human-centered decision-making in AI-influenced environments. I regularly collaborate with P–12 and higher education leaders on AI-supported instructional practice, institutional effectiveness, faculty development, and doctoral education redesign.
