Dr. Marquita Lyons-Smith is a Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, academic administrator, and innovative educator dedicated to advancing student and patient empowerment through the intentional use of AI in education and practice. She serves as an AI Emerging Leader Scholar, Quality Matters (QM) Certified Peer Reviewer, and Office of eLearning Faculty Fellow, where she champions high-quality, evidence-based course design.
Her work centers on integrating AI-driven tools into RN-BSN and Health Administration curricula to enhance alignment, accessibility, and meaningful learning experiences. As the founder of an AI-enhanced Reverse Mentoring program, she fosters reciprocal learning, strengthens engagement across generations, and promotes ethical, human-centered AI use in academic environments.
