About me
Glori Hinck DC, EdD is a senior instructional designer for the Strategic Transformation of Education, Learning, and Research Center (STELAR) at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis/St. Paul MN. In this role, she supports faculty in the design and delivery of online, HyFlex and blended courses. In addition, Glori is involved with the exploration and implementation of innovative technologies such as generative AI and virtual reality. After a long career in health care and health care education, Glori made a career change into educational technology and instructional design. She earned master’s and doctorate degrees in educational technology and a certificate in online teaching through Boise State University. She has over two decades of teaching and faculty development experience in all delivery modes and has taught a wide variety of courses from physiology and chiropractic technique to social media professionalism, online course design, digital accessibility, and getting started with generative AI.Glori initially became involved with HyFlex teaching 7-8 years ago. She has co-authored a chapter (New Technologies deliver on the promise of HyFlex) in Dr. Brian Beatty’s Hybrid-Flexible Course Design book describing the development and delivery of St. Thomas 's first HyFlex course. Glori has also been a co-facilitator and presenter for various HyFlex workshops and conference presentations, an advisory member for the HyFlex Learning Community, and serves on the planning committee for this conference. Since the introduction of generative AI, she has been exploring these technologies to support multimodel teaching and learning.
