About me
I am the founding Chief Learning Officer at San Francisco Bay University, where I lead the Center for Empowerment and Pedagogical Innovation (CEPI). Trained as an experimental physicist at Sorbonne University, my work focuses on reimagining teaching and learning for an AI-driven world through faculty development, interdisciplinary education, and innovative curriculum design. Before joining SFBU, I was a founding faculty member at Habib University in Pakistan, where I helped establish multiple academic and pedagogical initiatives, including the Center for Pedagogical Excellence and the Center for Transdisciplinarity, Design and Innovation. Across more than 14 years in higher education leadership, I have worked on developing experiential, student-centered, and culturally responsive approaches to learning. My teaching and intellectual interests span the sciences, design, creativity, AI, philosophy of science, and human-centered learning. I am particularly interested in how emerging technologies, interdisciplinary inquiry, and experiential pedagogies can reshape the future of higher education and help students develop adaptable ways of thinking in rapidly changing worlds. At SFBU, I am leading initiatives around AI-integrated teaching practices, new models of faculty development, and the redesign of general education for evolving educational landscapes.
