About me
Dr. Symphony Oxendine is Associate Dean for Graduate Education, Professional Programs, Research, and Faculty Affairs in the Watson College of Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), where she also serves as an Associate Professor in Higher Education. With more than 20 years of experience across academic and student affairs, she is a teacher-scholar committed to understanding the institutional, psychosocial, and political processes that shape student success and to building capacity for positive change. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that higher education is a complex, people-centered system—made up of relationships, decisions, and infrastructure that together shape what is possible for students, faculty, and communities.
